Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility – Incoming Students
The Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo welcomes Erasmus+ students who wish to undertake a traineeship (Student Mobility for Traineeship – SMT) within the Academy’s laboratories, research activities, artistic projects or in collaboration with partner institutions and organizations. The programme enables students to acquire professional, artistic and intercultural skills while gaining practical experience in an international environment.
Application Requirements
Students wishing to undertake a traineeship at the Academy must submit the required documentation within the established deadlines, including:
- Online Application Form (or paper application form);
- Training Agreement, approved by the home institution, the host institution and the student, specifying the training programme, learning objectives and expected outcomes;
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Portfolio of artistic work (where applicable);
- Motivation letter.
Before the mobility begins, the Training Agreement must be signed by all parties and clearly define the activities to be carried out, the duration of the traineeship and the learning outcomes to be achieved.
Traineeship Recognition
At the end of the mobility period, the host supervisor evaluates the trainee’s work and certifies the activities completed through the Traineeship Certificate/Transcript of Work, indicating the duration of the placement, the tasks performed and the learning outcomes achieved.
The Academy provides all the documentation required for the student’s home institution to recognise the traineeship and the corresponding ECTS credits, in accordance with the regulations of the sending institution.
Welcome and Student Support
Incoming trainees receive the same support services offered to Erasmus+ study students, including:
- orientation and welcome activities;
- information on Academy facilities, laboratories and student services;
- mobility certificate for access to local student services and facilities;
To facilitate integration into academic and everyday life, the Academy offers free Italian language courses for incoming students and staff during both semesters.
Throughout the traineeship, students receive academic and administrative support from the Erasmus Office and the academic supervisor, who monitor the progress of the trainee’s activities.
We look forward to welcoming you at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo.
